Real Wedding Saturday: Lisa & Nick

I've loved this wedding ever since I first saw a few details from it in the Winter 2006 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. I've seen a few more photos from it here and there, and I'm sure many of you have too, but I thought it would be fun to get it all right here for a Snippet & Ink feature. The bride, Lisa Wong, is the creative talent behind Good On Paper Design, so it's no surprise that her wedding is full of incredible details, all of which were captured by the equally talented Lisa Lefkowitz.

Lisa designed and printed all of the wedding stationery. The invitations were accompanied by a booklet explaining the story of how Lisa and Nick met: After seeing each other on BART for about two months, Lisa left a note on Nick's car that said "You're a cutie. Hi." Nick responded with a note on Lisa's windshield with his phone number, and their first phone call lasted four hours. They've been together ever since!

Lisa and Nick's Boston Terrier, Pixel, was their ring bearer.

The ceremony took place at the Acqua Hotel in Mill Valley, overlooking Richardson Bay.

Guests were invited to enter a raffle to win items made by the couple.

In lieu of a guest book, guests were asked to write the couple well wishes on little blue note cards.

Birds were a central theme throughout the wedding, from the stationery to the cake.

Lisa wore Monique Lhuillier gown and a hair pin custom made by her friend K. Autumn.

Rentals and linens from Classic Party Rentals.

Catering by Piazza D'Angelo. Dinner included mixed green salad and a choice between butternut squash ravioli or mozzarella-stuffed chicken breast.

Floral design by the talented Nancy Liu Chin Designs.

The cake, by Masse's Pastries, was passion fruit with white chocolate icing.

Thank you so much to Lisa and Nick for sharing this special day, and happy anniversary this month! And a big thank you to Lisa Lefkowitz for sharing these gorgeous photos!

My friend is having a chocolate and green wedding in a few months so I'll definitely send a link to her!

I love the bird theme - its' definitely one I'm considering. Also, I like the note cards in lieu of a guestbook. I wonder how to use them, later, though? Photo album, perhaps.

oh wow! I'm having serious cake envy now! I love that pistachio green icing! And the raffle idea? A-mazing. Love it. I do a lot of crafts and am encorporating them into my wedding, so raffling some off might be a fun idea! Thanks!
