A Snippet & Ink Christmas, #9
Something happened to my #8 post! All of the pictures on it disappeared, and I of course deleted them from my own computer, so phooey to that. But, here's A Snippet & Ink Christmas, #9.
These are some of my ideas for handmade gifts this year.

1. Every year I look forward to chocolate-dipped macadamia brittle from my cousin. If I can get her to share her recipe, I'll post it here, but in the meantime, try this one out.
2. Get some bright cardstock and some ink for your printer and make some monogrammed notecards. You can download some great fonts for free at Dafont.
3. How cute are these tacks! You can find directions for making them at How About Orange.
4. If you've got patience and time on your hands, these little paperclip charms would be adorable clipped onto a book, or maybe a few of them in a glassine bag as a gift on their own. Oh, Martha, you're so clever.
5. This candied Meyer lemon peel is delicious by itself or on vanilla ice cream.
6. I have a serious weakness for German glass glitter, so when my mother came home from New York with a sparkly silver pine cone ornament from ABC Carpet, I drooled a little. Cover one of these papier mache pine cones from Blumchen with any color glitter from Tinsel Trading, and you've got yourself a darling gift.
There are about a gazillion way more crafty people than me out there, so if you're one of them and you have more great ideas for handmade gifts, please share! What are you making to give as gifts this year?
Update!
I love this vintage postcard "wallet" idea from Country Living.
