A Little Tech Help...

Hi friends! I am in the market for a high quality color printer and scanner (not an all-in-one). Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything you highly recommend, or anything I should definitely avoid? I've done a little research, and luckily my older sister is really good at helping me with this sort of thing, but I thought I'd put it out there and get some feedback from y'all. What do you use and love? Thanks!

I use an Epson, but it doesn't scan. However, there was a post on Weddingbee about what Paper Source uses that might be helpful.

I just bought an HP Inkjet Photoprinter and am in the process of buying an HP Color Laser printer.

I love my Inkjet because each color has its own separate cartridge.

Epson scanners are pretty good.

Epson has a series of all in ones that looks pretty promising. Like Angel said, Paper Source uses Epson b/c they are back loading.

Good luck!

Epson's are good, especially if you like the back-load function. I've had an HP that I loved, now we have a Lexmark and I have no complaints there either- but I think they are known more for the print quality than the scanning.

Kathryn,
I have 2 HP All-in-ones. both are great. "little engines that could" is what i call them. i mostly scan on these - print quality not great. i have a big mama jama Dell laser printer. it's a MACHINE. i'll send you a photo.
quality is good... had some issues at first but dell helped me. it prints on cardstock - which i like.
i'll email more info.

The one that Paper Source uses s the Epson RX595 - I have it, too, and it is absolutely amazing. It is a printer and scanner in one, though, if thats something that you are open to.

I sold printers for a while at Staples and the ones I recommended most to my customers were the HP All-In-1 printers/scanners/copiers. It's so much more convenient to have everything available in one place and HP is one of the best out there right now for ink quality. Epson's definitely great and their scanners last forever but I don't remember if they do the all-in-1 thing.

Good luck.
