Real Wedding Saturday: Kimberly & Brad

I first found Karyn Iserman through Southern Weddings' blog, and had so much fun looking through her website. So you can imagine how excited I was when she shared this beautiful wedding with me! The wedding took place in April on the gorgeous Isle of Palms, on the coast of South Carolina outside of Charleston - a city with special meaning for the bride and groom. Sara from Gathering Floral & Event Design helped to pull together Kimberly's very specific vision (the bride's an interior designer!) perfectly.

When Kimberly was born, her mother gave her a sock monkey, so they've had a special meaning to her since then. When she found these slippers at Target, she couldn't resist getting a picture of them with her wedding dress.

The bridesmaids wore black dresses from J.Crew.

Kimberly made the programs herself with materials she found at Swoozies.

The intimate ceremony, with under 40 guests, took place on the beach.

Kimberly wore a dress by Monique Lhuillier.

The reception took place on the lawn of the beach house they rented for the wedding.

Sara from Gathering Floral & Event Design custom made the black and white patterned table runners for Kimberly and Brad.

Catering by Carolina Catering.

Cake by Ashley Bakery.

The tent was decorated with vintage-inspired stars and lanterns.

Kimberly and Brad drove off in a vintage Rolls-Royce.

Congratulations Kimberly and Brad, and thank you so much for sharing this gorgeous day with us! And a big thank you to Karyn Iserman for capturing the day so beautifully, and sharing the photos!

One of the great things about having a small guest list is that it frees up your budget for some amazing details that you may not have been able to afford otherwise. Not speaking for Kimberly and Brad specifically, but I am having a very similar wedding myself - on the beach, 50 people, renting a beach house and having the reception on the lawn - and because we're keeping it small we can afford to splurge on some beautiful details.

LOVE the sock monkey socks!

Where did you find this house?! It looks beautiful. I'm also looking for a vacation rental vs. a facility fee venue. Any suggestions beside scouring through vrbo?
