Favorite books are always a great gift, but subscriptions will remind the recipient of you all year long. One of my absolute favorite magazines, and the perfect gift for anyone in the western United States, is Sunset Magazine, for $16. A more literary option is a subscription to One Story (thank you to Victoria for introducing this to me), a non-profit magazine that sends subscribers a short story every three weeks.

Oh this is such a great post, considering I'm a bookworm myself. =)
When I was a baby, my parents got me a library book embosser, which I still use and love. And as a side note, my high school students are completely amazed with it; they would emboss everything if I'd let them...
I would definitely recommend them as gifts for bookworms. A lot of sites sell them, but here's just one example:

I too love Sunset mag! I used to think of it as something my mom subscribed to, like Good Housekeeping or Family Circle, but in recent years I picked up a copy and couldn't believe how 'hip' it has become. Whoever did their re-design deserves an award.
These are SO gorgeous! I'm expecting in June and these are now at the top of my list!
