Real Wedding: Kate & Dan

For all of those fall brides out there, I think you will especially love today's featured wedding, shot by the talented Jesse Leake. The bride's grandparents had a ranch in the Sierra Nevadas, and she spent summers there growing up. She wanted to get married somewhere that looked like her grandparents' ranch, with lots of yellow grass and oak trees, so an October wedding at the Paradise Ridge Winery was an obvious choice...

Kate wore a dress by Vera Wang and Stuart Weitzman shoes with wood stacked heels.

Kate and her girlfriends did all of the flowers themselves, from the bouquets to the centerpieces, the day before the wedding. Friends also helped to set up the entire event, from the centerpieces to the guest book.

Kate's grandfather married her parents, so in keeping with that tradition, Kate's father officiated the wedding ceremony.

Guests were asked to write wishes to the newlyweds and tie them to a little "fence."

Half of the centerpieces were persimmons and pomegranates in footed bowls from Crate & Barrel.

Floral centerpieces on the other tables included dahlias, roses, branches, lotus blossoms and snow berries.

Preferred Sonoma Caterers provided the food. Kate's uncle provided dessert as a gift to the couple, lemon tarts and passionfruit bavarian cake from Tartine.

Congratulations Kate and Dan! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely wedding with us. And of course a thank you to Jesse Leake for sharing these photos!

Wow, what a great centerpiece for a fall wedding! I love incorporating non-floral organics. And the white ceramic is beautiful.

What a classy event! I love their color combo- it was bold but not used excessively. Her dress was amazing!

I love the pomogranates! I have thought about using tomatoes to add to the red and orange dahlias I'm doing. This looks amazing!
