Real Wedding: Toni & Pietro

When Jocelyn Filley emailed me to introduce herself, I spent some time on her website and just had to know more about this wedding. It is simple, intimate, and very stylish - proof yet again that a wedding need not be over-thought or over-planned to be beautiful and meaningful.

Toni wore a dress by Nicole Miller that she came across while walking through Soho one day. Her hair was styled by Marco Guglielmino.

The flowers were done by Surroundings Flowers.

At the ceremony, Christine Gummere played the Baroque cello and Daniel Swenberg played the theorbo.

The ceremony was held at St. Peter's Church.

Toni and Pietro chose to hold their reception at Paradou in New York's Meatpacking district because they had eaten there before and loved the food. The restaurant's garden was the perfect size for the couple's 45 guests, and provided a unique and intimate atmosphere.

Congratulations Toni and Pietro, and thank you so much to Jocelyn Filley for sharing these beautiful photos!

this wedding was more gorgeously moving than most extravagant weddings i've seen; i'm touched and inspired.

How absolutely beautiful! THIS is the kind of wedding I'd love to see more of. Unique, one-of-a-kind celebrations that are elegantly simple. One where you can tell the couple was more concerned with the spirit and meaning of the day; not the centerpieces and color-coordinating everything.

Breathtaking...
