DIY with Paul Lowe, Part 3
Here's one more beautiful project from Paul Lowe - thank you so much Paul for stopping by and sharing these gorgeous ideas with us!
When I was a teenager, I wanted to be a milliner - I know it's a strange thing for a 16-year-old boy to think! Here is a hat meant for the bride.
Materials:
about 3 yards of lace
elastic bands
a small piece of tulle
needle and thread

Directions:
Start with a piece of lace and roll it loosely up into a roll. Use an elastic band to secure one end. Continue rolling lace loosely around the first piece until it looks like a rose. Secure this with an elastic on the same end. Hand-stitch the end of the "rose" together. Sew the tulle on the side you'd like to wear it. Secure it to your hair with bobby pins.
Thank you again to Paul Lowe for these lovely do-it-yourself projects! Don't forget to check out his inspiring blog, and also to stop by Snippet & Ink later today for a beautiful real wedding full of vintage lace details.
