Love Shoot: Jenie & Aric

Jesse Leake sent over these beautiful engagement photos of Jenie and Aric, taken in one of my very favorite places in the world: San Francisco. I love how they capture both playful and romantic sides of the couple, as well as an perfect sense of the place...

Congratulations to Jenie and Aric who were just married in August! And thank you to Jesse Leake for sharing these gorgeous photos. You can see even more from this shoot on Jesse's new blog.

What a lovely shoot!! I love these love shoots, but, as a Dutch girl, I'm not familiar with the concept. Are they made when couples get engaged? Are they for personal use, or do people send them to relatives? Would love to know more.

Hi Anne,

This particular shoot was done for an engaged couple, though some couples will do a shoot like this for an anniversary, or just for fun. But yes, most of the love shoots you see will probably be engagement shoots.

Thank you for explaining, Kathryn. Maybe I'll try to convince my husband to do a love shoot for our anniversary (this concept should be introduced in the Netherlands!). :)

I have that same dress! It really does pop in the photographs.

I love the idea of doing photo shoots for anniversaries. Such a nice way to document growing older together.
