Real Wedding: Scarlett & Kevin

I love this beautiful wedding that Amanda Bevington shared with me - I love the beach venue, the playful photos, and the intimate reception. Scarlett and Kevin initially planned to elope in an effort to avoid the stress and expense of a large wedding, but when their parents expressed disappointment at this plan, the couple opted for an intimate beach wedding with just immediate family. This wedding is proof that you don't have to spend a ton of money and worry yourself over a zillion little details in order to have a beautiful and meaningful celebration...

Scarlett wore fuschia shoes by Stuart Weitzman, a necklace from J.Crew, and diamond studs that she borrowed from her mother.

Scarlett says this about the wedding: Kevin and I made a decision that we didn't want our day to be bound by any traditions. Every part of the ceremony and day was absolutely true to us. One example of this was their decision to walk down the aisle together. The moment they first saw each other before the ceremony was one of their favorite parts of the day.

Kazoos for the flower children!

The ceremony took place at the Pelican Point lookout on the beach at Crystal Cove State Park. My Fair Lady Flowers out of Laguna Beach did all of the flowers.

After the ceremony, Scarlett, Kevin and their 14 guests headed down to the beach for some fun photos in the surf.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of balloons - they just add so much whimsy to an already gorgeous photograph!

Kevin wore pink socks from American Apparel and gray canvas shoes by Zig Zag that were purchased for $20 at Mollusk, a surf shop in Venice.

Scarlett wore a Nicole Miller dress. Kevin wore a Marc Jacobs suit and a shirt from Theory.

After the ceremony, everyone headed across the street to "Marco's Room" - a private dining room at Javier's in Laguna Beach. Dinner included plenty of toasts and speeches!

Scarlett and Kevin are just recently back from their honeymoon, so I can't tell you how much I appreciate them taking the time to share their special day with us, when I'm sure things have been quite busy! Congratulations and best to both of you - your lovely, intimate wedding is certainly an inspiration. And thank you so much to the talented Amanda Bevington who was kind enough to send these gorgeous photos my way! See way more of Scarlett and Kevin's wedding photos on Amanda's blog.

How fun! I love those fuschia shoes! I'm wearing deep royal purple shoes with my wedding gown. I love how brides are starting to add little pops of color here and there...rather then every single accessory being white. Beautiful wedding!
