Board #479: Paper Moon

Another vintage-inspired board today, but a totally different look from yesterday's. More feminine, more glitzy, more urban sophistication. I think the key to a vintage look for your wedding is to update it so that it doesn't look like a themed costume party. Though a flapper wedding could be really fabulous...

Mood: vintage whimsy
Palette: oyster gray, pearl pink

Row 2: silver glitter favor cup by Studio d.Sharp, zinnia and ranunculus bouquet from Martha Stewart Weddings
Row 3: pink and gray velvet jewelry boxes and pink and gray bridesmaid dresses both from Martha Stewart Weddings, shoe photo by Bret Cole
Row 4: headband from Jennifer Behr, paper flower boutonnieres from Charleston Weddings, stationery suite by Mr. Boddington's Studio

Very Pretty, love the soft greys with the pretty dusky pinks and corals.

I agree the way to prevent a costume party vibe is to update and personalise the details. And a flapper wedding would be rather fabulous.

Love the two contrasting vintage boards you've done. This one is definitely more my style--reminds me of silent film glamour. Lovely!

Beautiful arrangement! I love the vintage paper cake topper! I have packs of vintage paper in my store that would be just perfect for a DIY! http://katieblue.etsy.com

So much you could do with a twenties wedding theme! I heart vintage and the vintage look can be very chic when tastefully done! Great idea!

that moon looks like the backdrop for the prom i was in charge of in the delta. (can you imagine...ME in charge of the PROM?) needless to say it was MUCH LESS sophisticated than this one.

I agree the soft grey does have something about it - not my choice for a wedding but does look good in these photos
