Board #126: Seersucker and Baker's Twine

I am finding that I really only like red in very small doses, such as in this board. It's such a dominant, powerful color that a little goes a long way (I mean, there's not much red here, but see how different this board is from the all-white one I posted yesterday?). Those balloons with the number tags, from the wedding of the associate style editor for Martha Stewart Weddings, are one of my favorite examples of a non-floral centerpiece. So simple yet so dramatic. Bakers' twine and seersucker were the inspirations for that wedding, and I tried to continue that look here. I could easily see this as a summer beachfront event where all the guests wear white or seersucker...

Mood: neat, preppy
Palette: white, minimal red

This is so pretty! You've done a great job balancing the two colors...white and red. Also,I love the seersucker!

We're using seersucker for our wedding (though blue and white) and I love it! My colors are pink and navy, so it's a whole different concept, but I just love the summery feel. Thanks for this post!
