Board #347: Ladylike Linen & Buttery Silk Faille

I probably could have posted this photo by Ellen Von Unwerth on its own to provide you with inspiration today, but I couldn't resist a wedding board based on Carolina Herrera's "ladylike linen top and buttery silk faille and tulle skirt" (Vogue's description).

Mood: lush, colonial Caribbean
Palette: yellow, ivory, black, tropical green

Top row from left: skirt and top by Carolina Herrera, French 75 cocktail photo by Jennifer Martine, cattleya orchid cake from Martha Stewart Weddings, lemons and melons
Row 2: invitation by Bird & Banner, Ariella Chezar bouquet photo by Meg Smith, bowl of lemons photo by Jose Villa
Row 3: roses and figs from Brides, photo via Cote de Texas, Acqua di Parma, cigars from Oh How Charming!
Row 4: plantation house, calligraphy by Bernard Maisner, centerpiece from Martha Stewart Weddings, staircase via Belle Maison

Oh, it's so fun! I even feel a little warm Caribbean breeze blowing, despite my immediate chilly surroundings.

That staircase is one of my favorite places! It's from a buidong in Havana that houses, among other things, oneof the best restaurants in Cuba - Paladar La Guarida. So cool to see it here!

OH wow. That skirt is gorgeous. I agree: it could stand on its own [however, I am glad you've created this pretty board around it].

Loving this board for it's many florals and sweet details. That invitation is great.

Lovely dress! Lovely board. I adore anything that makes me think of long, languid days in the Colonial-era tropics. (Well visually, if not politically) Sigh.

Does Anyone know where I could find that skirt, i.e. which collection it is from?
