Board #388: Garden and Beach

Who says a beach wedding has to include sand dollars and seashells? Instead, incorporate elements like flowers, twine, and wicker furniture, and enjoy the romance of both the garden and the beach. I chose to use a palette of mostly sand and shades of plum, and I think the result is unexpected and lovely (if I do say so myself!).

Mood: a bit of garden charm on the beach
Palette: sand, shell, plum

Amazing! This is one of my favorites...so unexpected. It made me wonder- could you also then bring the beach to the garden? -Kim

Hooray! This is my wedding! I live on Cape Cod, so we did not want to do a traditional beach wedding. I added a little more brown because it will be in September, but this is basically it. Love, love, love your blog.

I've never really thought of purple/lavender and a beach theme. It's so airy and lovely!

My husband and I are having another "wedding" in the seaside village in England where he is from. This inspiration board is perfect! Exactly what I had envisioned! Romantic, beach, and garden all in one.

I'm usually not into beach weddings...but this color palette is SO beautiful! I'd have a beach wedding if it looked like that!

What a great combination, I think this is one of my favourite boards so far! I love the contrast between the sandy and floral colours.

Thank you for not featuring a cake that looks like sand and has sugarpaste seashells all over it. This combination is gorgeous! I especially love the big beautiful peaked tent....

Hi Sharon,

I believe it's a Sperry Tent:
