Board #389: Down in Mississippi

I'm headed down to New Orleans for the day, and then driving over to Mississippi for the weekend for my sweet friend's wedding! After having lived in Mississippi for two years, it holds a special place in my heart, and I thought a rustic board with a cotton bole motif would be fun. Dinner would be barbecue of course and there would have to be a really great blues band for dancing.

Mood: down home rustic
Palette: brown, white, red

The cotton bouquet is my absolute favorite! I like that it can work in any season with the right satin ribbon!

I see your comments are back up, but saw this article about how to deal with trolls and thought you might find it useful:

Have a great time in New Orleans! Do tell if they really do parades through the streets waving handkerchiefs.

Wow... this looks like it was made for my wedding. Wish I had seen this before the big day - a cotton bouquet would have been perfect :)

I met my fiance in mississippi! That cotton bouquet is so cute! I think mixing cotton in with a bouquet could turn out quite nicely.
