Board #481: Nude & Gray

I love neutrals. Just about everything in my home, or that I wear, is either white or beige or gray. Not particularly bold or exciting, but I think done well, neutrals can be anything you want them to be, whether it's cozy, stark, romantic or modern. All of that is just an extended way of introducing today's inspiration board, with its palette of modern neutrals. Shades of peachy nude and cement gray are at once modern and romantic, and I think it's an utterly sophisticated look. If you wanted to introduce a pop of color, I could see bringing in shots of bright orange or hot pink, or perhaps a deep plum purple.

Mood: softly modern
Palette: nude in shades of peach and cream, warm gray

So true about neutrals. I love how this board captures the tiny hints of color that neutrals have. It's nice to see your eye back in action.

I love it! I am a fellow neutral lover, and these colors are really similar to what I chose for my wedding! I also threw in a tiny bit of moss green to go along with the barely-peach, sand, and slate hues. People have been giving me a surprisingly hard time about not using bright colors (like it's some kind of unwritten bridal rule that you MUST love fuchsia) but I stuck to my guns, and seeing this board confirmed my feeling that this will look great! :-)

I've been playing with this color palette and adding accents of chocolate brown and/or black. Makes it pop! This is totally gorgeous and you've linked to our local celeb - Maples Wedding Cakes! :)

This is so funny to me, because I'm exactly the same. My husband calls it "greish" -- my home and wardrobe relies on this color-of-sorts. Even my wedding was this palette, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

I'm getting married on July 10, and these are my colors! Some thought I was a little crazy to have so many: gray, nude, ivory, silver, and plum. I think it will be beautiful - and you've just given me more confidence in my vision!!! Thank you!

Can you use navy along with these colors? or would it be too dull?

I think navy could totally work as an accent color - good contrast.

OOOhhh!!! I LOVE love love this. I have a sweet little glass tufted titmouse on the wall at home and he is all the colors I want my whole home to be - every shade of white, gray, tan & silver... with a little blue, like a beachscape. Lovely!
