Board #410: Lavender & Cherry
Inspired by this Luisa Beccaria spread that I first saw on coco + kelley, and by this lovely palette from Martha Stewart Weddings, I thought a lavender and red inspiration board made for a really wonderful summer wedding. It could certainly work in other seasons, but I like the way it feels in a garden setting, with fresh lavender and cherries. The muted almost-gray purple works as a nice backdrop for pops of real cherry red - feminine without being syrupy.

My friend Jill chose this color palette for her May wedding and asked me to do the calligraphy on her invite envelopes. We decided to ink them in red which turned out so cool. There are pics on my blog: http://www.calligraphybyannagabrielle.blogspot.com/
You're correct that it's a beautiful summer color scheme.
I love the linens with the red border. You chose pictures with antiquey looks, so it doesn't look like a red-and-purple theme. Lovely as always!

This is beautiful--the cherry red adds a depth and richness that would otherwise be lacking.

I love this palette! I've put together a few in theses colors & I'm always pleasantly surpised by how fun & pretty it turns out! Lovely board.

Love this, and lavender makes everything smell so amazing and has an amazing calming effect. And Red well that goes without saying I have red.
